Privacy Policy

The short version: Travii is designed to help you understand your own photo library on your own device. It does not upload, copy, edit, move, or delete your original photos or videos.

What Travii does

Travii helps you recover and keep a personal record of past trips. With your permission, it reads available information from your iPhone Photo Library to find likely trips and show the original media that belongs to them.

Photo Library access

If you allow Photo Library access, Travii processes available asset identifiers, capture dates, media type, dimensions, and available location metadata on your device. It uses that information to group likely trips and show your photos and videos in a Journey.

Travii does not upload your photos, videos, thumbnails, or Photo Library metadata to a Travii server. It does not copy original media into its own storage, and it does not edit, move, hide, or delete anything in your Photo Library.

Information stored on your device

Travii stores its local trip index, saved Journeys, personal edits, itinerary entries, expenses, Home areas, and preferences on your device. Removing a saved trip removes Travii’s local record only; it does not remove your original photos or videos. Deleting the app removes Travii’s local app data from that device, subject to iOS behavior and any device backups you manage.

Maps and place search

When you deliberately use the in-app place search, Travii sends the words you enter and the map area you are viewing to Apple Maps to return possible places. If you tap a map point, Travii may send that point to Apple Maps to show a broad area name. Travii does not send your Photo Library data to Apple Maps. Apple’s handling of these requests is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Notifications

Optional Memories reminders are scheduled locally on your device. You can change or turn them off in Travii or in iOS Settings.

Data sharing and tracking

Travii does not sell personal information, use advertising trackers, or create a profile of you for advertising. Except for the Apple Maps requests you choose to make, Travii does not send your trip or Photo Library information to third parties. Travii does not require an account.

Your choices

  • You can choose limited Photo Library access, change access, or revoke it at any time in iOS Settings.
  • You can remove saved Journeys and other Travii records without changing the originals in your Photo Library.
  • You can turn optional notifications off in Travii or iOS Settings.

Changes to this policy

If Travii’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before or when the change takes effect.
